It’s time to tell you all that FurCast is ending.
The first thing I want to say is that me, and everyone involved in the history of the production of this show absolutely love you guys. There has been so much blood, sweat and tears over these years to try and bring you all happiness, help us all have fun, and bring people together. Every single decision I’ve made over the past decade has factored in the community, and same goes with everyone else on the team.
It feels weird to write this message by myself, as there has been much love and care put in by many others to make this happen. There are various sides, there are various arguments, but make no mistake, ending FurCast is my decision.
I’m sorry to say, it’s time.
It’s a breakup, it’s rough. There is so much on the line for each of us personally as we’ve approached this point, but still, it’s time.
It’s been a damn good run for these 10 years, and we couldn’t have done it without you.
The XBN network, FNT, and various other projects will be coming back soon, but not FurCast.
Over time, we may pivot the FurCast chats to become more generic “XBN Community” chats. I understand many of you may leave, and I’m sure many will stay. I’m also aware that there’s a decent number of you that happily participate in our community yet have never even heard our shows heh x3. The point is: we’ll still be here, though under a different brand.
The Patreon will remain in pause mode, and may be deleted soon.
The FurCast website will transition into an archival state and the content will be preserved.
Twin Tails are awesome nice guys, and we’re so grateful to have been able to work with them. Our sponsorship and references to each other will dwindle and disappear over time as we make this transition to an archival state. I look forward to chatting with them about new ideas over a beer at a con sometime, when those are a thing again.
Finally, all of us are alive, healthy, and swarming with creativity in our minds. I’m sure each of us will be doing new things. I encourage everyone to follow us show hosts as well as production staff on social media. I’m excited to see the new things they will create on their own.
Please stay safe, stay cozy, know that you are loved. See you all at a con soon.
